Herewith, we invite you to the joint meeting of ÖGOR and GOR hosted by ÖBB (Österreichische Bundesbahnen). This is the first time that ÖGOR cooperates with GOR by organizing a joint meeting with the topic:
Practice of Optimization in Transportation
The workshop will take place in Vienna on September 28-29, 2023. The working language will be English to be inclusive for a non-German speaking audience. GOR members are warmly invited to attend also the meeting of ÖGOR, while all ÖGOR members are invited to attend the meeting of the GOR working group.

You’re more than welcome to join us on 24 May 2023 for an inspiring and insightful event that will be held both onsite in Amsterdam and virtually.
Our conference will bring together a group of inspiring speakers and panelist from our main stakeholders: nonprofits, researchers, and companies. Throughout the day, we will share our impact and progress with Analytics for a Better World and our plans for the coming years. We will also discuss the analytics impact projects that we and our network executed, along with the impact from the ABW Academy’s fellowship that attracted many nonprofits from all over the world. Additionally, we will introduce our new sponsors and partners who contribute to ABW.
Stellenausschreibung: Interdisziplinäre PhD-Stelle an der Schnittstelle von Entscheidungsanalyse und Psychologie, Eawag, Schweiz
Interdisziplinäre Doktorandenstelle an der Schnittstelle von Entscheidungsanalyse und Psychologie in der Abteilung Umweltsozialwissenschaften der Eawag: Das Doktorat soll dazu beitragen, Risiken und Unsicherheiten bei Entscheidungen welche Umwelt und Gesellschaft betreffen besser zu verstehen.
Profil: Dissertation an der Schnittstelle Entscheidungsanalyse / Psychologie. Wir suchen Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten mit grossem Interesse an Forschung in einem interdisziplinären Umfeld und an methodischen Fragestellungen, die einen gesellschaftlich relevanten Beitrag bieten können. Voraussetzung ist ein Masterabschluss aus den Sozialwissenschaften, idealerweise Psychologie, oder eines umweltwissenschaftlichen Fachs. Wir erwarten Erfahrung im Design, Durchführen und in statistischer Auswertung von Experimenten, Umfragen oder Interviews. Kenntnisse in Entscheidungsanalyse sind von Vorteil. Wir suchen Personen, die exakt und zuverlässig arbeiten, mit Zahlen umgehen und Texte schreiben können; und die gerne mit Menschen zusammenarbeiten. Gute Kenntnisse der deutschen und englischen Sprache werden vorausgesetzt.
Das Doktorat wird an der Eawag (Judit Lienert, mit Nadja Contzen) und der ETH Zürich (D-USYS) durchgeführt, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Consumer Behavior Group der ETHZ (Prof. Michael Siegrist).

Participation in the workshop is free of charge, if your institution or supervisor are members of OeGOR. However, lunch will be organized centrally, thus requiring a meal contribution of ca. € 50.-. All other food, travel and hotel arrangements must be organized and covered by the participants.

Im Namen der AG „Operations Research in Health Care & Disaster Management“ (ÖGOR) möchten wir Sie auf die diesjährige Veranstaltung am 21. Juli 2023 an der TU-Graz hinweisen, welche im Rahmen der EURO Arbeitsgruppe ORAHS Tagung am Freitag Vormittag abgehalten wird.
Die Veranstaltung am Freitag Vormittag ist für ÖGOR-Mitglieder gratis (inkl. Kaffeepause) vor Ort.
Es wird aber auch hybrid zugeschalten.
